New Delhi/Liverpool, UK: The growing India–UK partnership was highlighted at the sidelines of the Annual Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, where the High Commission of India in London hosted an India Reception bringing together political, business and community stakeholders.
The reception provided a platform to discuss the expanding scope and ambition of India-UK relations and to build new connections for the next phase of bilateral cooperation.
The discussions covered a broad range of areas, including trade and investment, technology, education and people-to-people ties. The engagement also highlighted the role of businesses, policymakers and community organisations in deepening links between the two countries.
The event comes as India and the UK continue to strengthen their bilateral engagement across economic, technological, educational and cultural spheres. The partnership has increasingly expanded beyond traditional trade relations, with greater emphasis on innovation, investment, skills, mobility and stronger institutional and people-to-people connections.
The India Reception at the Labour Party Conference served as an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange views and explore avenues for further collaboration, while reinforcing the shared interest in taking India–UK relations into a new phase of partnership and cooperation.
